Will the steel style valve cover off the early model vortec work on my 95 with the plastic ones

Thank just scored on a set of elderblock alum ones for $30 and was wounding if they work are resale them so now there gone on in a few week when i replace the intake gaskets got a small leak on driver side leaking down the back of the motor luckily it not gone into the block and thanks again for the answer Anderw01991

My Dakota 4.7 had magnesium covers, both were replaced under warranty because they leaked from a hole that corroded threw
Update/replacement was plastic

BTW Buy the premium gasket or they will leak for sure
Buddy gave me a set of aluminum Holleys for my SBC that he cound not get to stop leaking
I had used a victor tuff cork gasket with Permatex 2C sealer , the wing nut hold downs would come loose but it never leaked LOL
