Hello. This is my first post. This is a minor problem but frustrating.

I have a 2000 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4wd 173K miles. The hose that connects the washer fluid reservoir to the windshield spray nozzle came undone at the reservoir. How do you remove the reservoir or access the bottom part of it to replace the hose? There is apparently no way I can reach down from the top and the reservoir cannot slide out from the top because there is too much in the way (air intake, fuse box, and the metal engine compartment, etc.). I am sure I am missing something obvious. Do I have to go through the wheel well? I am not sure if the reservoir itself is cracked so would like to take it out to inspect it anyway. Thanks a lot.

i called my friend. the hose has come off the bottom

not too hard to get to
he thinks we need to take it out from the top.
i fixed mine, with my friend's help.

 

Remove your airbox and everything becomes wideopen.

 

remove air intake everything is now visible.

take out air cleaner

take out screws necessary to remove tank

your hose has come off.

attach hose and put a clamp on it so it does not come off again.

turned out to be easy to do

Thanks a lot for the advice, guys, I popped the air box out and was able to reach down and reconnect the washer fluid hose. The reservoir itself was not cracked. I put a 1/4 - 5/8 inch hose clamp on the hose so it won't pop off again. Including the time it took to go to the hardware store for the clamp, the job was started and finished in an hour. Thanks again.
