I have a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer LT 4x4....I read on Wikipedia that the 1995's didn't have a Vortec engine?? My engine IS a Vortec 4.3 engine. Maybe I just read it wrong and 1995 did come with the Vortec?

You can never fully trust Wikipedia. Sorry.
If it clearly says on your engine Vortec, then one must imagine it truly is a Vortec.

Did they come with a Vortec in 1995?

YES, and I think ALL 1995's were vortecs actually.

Yes. I typed "1995 blazer vortec engine" into google and found a '95 Blazer with a Vortec in it on Craigslist.com. Then I looked on answers.com and found:

The Vortec is a specific cylinder head basically, It is a design in which the intake runners cause the air fuel mixture to swirl in a sort of vortex, and I believe that's why they named it "Vortec" And I think ALL 4.3's were built with the vortec heads, it just didn't pick up the name until later I could be wrong about that, but I think that's how it went down. Also Vortec is not just a 4.3 design...I have a set of Vortec heads on my Caprice,(350 or 5.7)that came off of a 1999 chevy pickup. Now every gasoline engine that chevy makes except the Saturn based ecotec 2.0,2.2 and 2.4 are Vortecs.
