Hi, I am new..posted in the newbie forum. I just bought this Blazer Problem one i want to take care of

guages.....I put a fuse in and when I turn the ignition on the fuse blows.

1 window works and the other 3 do not I think it may be associated.

It also has a tranny issues when you start out in OD it goes but starts off slow...but it does not feel like slipping......once you get going and you step on it it runs fine just does not down shift...I know this is a electronic shifting tranny.....maybe it is tied in as well

fuse is still poping when i turn the ignition on.

A lot of the wiring was twisted together i redid the ingnition wire down to the starter and now it wont start

If your blowing fuses that quick you have a direct short. Yes it could have an effect on your tranny, depends on which wires are shorting out.

your going to have to eliminate one circuit at a time to find this problem. Chasing electrical gremlins is not fun, nor easy. Do you have a good test light and schematics of the wiring?

Your dash lights are tied into electronic sending units.

Your tranny is controlled by the puter and gets its info from the VSS, brake switch, rpms, and I think a few other temp sensors on the newer trucks. Make sure your tranny is at the proper fluid level. Check it when hot and the engine running while parked on level ground.

The windows should be a seperate circuit and a seperate issue. Shouldn't have anything to do with your dash problem. Unless the sensor to the "door ajar" is the one directly shorting out. In that case you will need to find the door problem and fix it. It might be as simple as a new master control switch, or as difficult as finding a faulty wire hidden in teh black protective covering between teh door and door jamb. They have been know to break in there, maybe shorting out to another wire.
