Not just the same folks being nominated, but the same folks nominating as well. as for nominations, we are only hearing from about .03 percent of our members. the nominations are over within 2 days usually, and folks are nominating two and three people at a time. has become a joke.

amen! ain't that the truth...coming from the only girl to be nominated 8 months in a row....besides...I don't really know a lot of the newbies...

I hate the 10 pin. I have a plastic ball to get the darn thing and I can't seem to get it right. I think I need to get it redrilled or something. I have 10 pin-itis too lmao. My teammates on my league have a joke that they have to call everyone I know when I get a ten pin, cause that is my downfall. My scores would be so myuch higher if I could just make that stupid thing.

It's all in fun anyway so I don't see what the big problem is. At least people are taking part. I'm not trying to start trouble, I am just shooting out some ideas. There should be some rules or something if you think this is a problem, Like one person can only nominate one person a month, or one person can't be involved in the voting more than twice in a row. We have new people signing on all the time, and yes, some of them are only to find out a solution to one problem or to sell something, but some do stick around. I have noticed a few members that have taken part in this in the recent past have gone away. New people will fill that gap. It won't be the same all the time. Every time the new rotm comes around, I search through the new members that are eligible to try to get some new peope involved into the whole ride of the month thing. Yes, I realize that some of the same poeple are involved in it every month, but like I said, it's all in fun anyway. [sm=rant.gif]

Yep I am going to clean the blazer up and try to find an awesome picture. Plus I have a couple things to wrap up on getting the Blazer ready for this.

My pic should be ready by tomorrow or by saturday if my new item isnt ready yet because those are my only 2 days off to get it put on. Either that or if it comes to it, would it be ok with you Kyle if i had one picture up and then if i have to wait till sunday send an updated link?

Not to get this all complicated, but maybe the problem is how quickly the 5 get chosen and the method....
Don't get me wrong, I check BF every day to see what's up, but I always seem to forget about the ROTM until a few days after the 1st of the month, and by then it's already been decided who the 5 are.
Maybe some kind of "open" nominations for the first week, and then some way to decide who the final 5 should be (least nominated previously or something like that?). Or a random selection of 5 people who have posted in the previous month that have been members long enough to be eligible (if it is possible by computer program or such to do this)?

I agree that it's just for fun, but wouldn't it be more fun if it were a surprise who the 5 were? Maybe they could be PMed by the administrator to make sure they wanted to be entered?

And no, this is not sour grapes just because I'm one of the "never been nominated" (I love my Blazer whether it wins anything or not, just so long as it makes me happy), but there are lots of other Blazers on BF that I do admire.

I think that if we had open nominations for a week, then we could select the 5 that were seconded the most. Everyone would be able to nominate 3people they wanted, then they could second 3 people. This way it might be a little more fair and then people know that the nominations would take place the first week of the month, because 3 weeks is long enough for voting. Just my opinion
