Compared to the Silvania Silverstars, halos are worse brightness wise? I was thinking about getting halos, but now that you say that, I am rethinking it. Plus the fact that I read somewhere that you have to buy different bulbs, you can't use the 9005 bulbs which I have now. With the Silverstars and the pilot lights, they light up the road really nice. I like the look of the halos though, but if they are poorer quality light wise, I won't get them.

the thing with them is that they put a flat line across your line of sight, hense reducing visibility...they arent that bright. and yes, in the projector part itself uses a really small bulb. so you would be able to use the High Beam bulb but not your low beam. So i went a bought a set of clear headlights from stylin concepts and installed my HID's in them and I love it.

HID!

What bulb do you have that is HID. Are they 9005? Yeah, I am not going to get halos. They don't sound as good as clear headlights. Up here in CT, there are alot of roads and highways with no streetlights and I am a frequent traveler to Maine where there are parts with the same problem, but they have deer and moose up there. Oh, and by the way, if anyone knows anyone who is selling stock headlights for cheap, let me know. I need the passenger side one. The bracket on top of the housing is cracked to about 5 peices and I have it being held in by a cable tie. And everytime I hit a bump, the headlight shakes because it's not sturdy.

Me or Jag? i have 9006 HIDs you generally dont want HID high beams b/c they take a few seconds to get to full brightness
davtak
12-16-2007, 09:39 PM
Oh, you have them too. 9006 HID in the 9005 spot?

Mine are much brighter than the stock headlights... now that I put in the Raybrig H1s I got from my aunt forChristmas.
The reason the projectors do that is to cut the amount of light that bleeds too high, reducing the blinding effect to oncoming traffic. I guess it depends on personal preference as to whether you like the cutoff and focus of the projector lense. You could have fixed it by flipping the projector upside down.Your headlights didn't come with instructions on setting up the projector?

It's still only 2007 lol! 2008 is in T-minus 2 hours 7 minutes.
I think it's safe to congratulate Verno on the win unless we get a massive amount of voter turnout in the next two hours lmao.
