I recently purchased an 85 K5 Blazer with the Silverado pkg. Everything (including the clock!!!) works except the driver's side door power lock. Doesn't sound like the solenoid is engaging. The passenger side will unlock and lock just fine. Loose wire? Bad solenoid? Just wondering, also, how hard it is to remove the interior door panel.
Any help would be appreciated and thanks!

If you can hear the solenoid but it doesn't unlock the door, it's probably a weak solenoid.
Unscrew the door lock knob.
remove the door handle trim.
remove the pull strap tim caps, remove the pull strap.
remove the armrest screws and slide it back to remove, remove the 2 screws behind it.
remove all the trim panel screws
pop the trim panel off starting at the bottom and then lift it to get it off the door.
Now you can reach behind and disconnect the switch.

Thanks for the great info! I've got some time to fix this over the weekend and I appreciate the response!
I need to get a Helms Service Manual for this truck...I think I'm gonna need it! LOL

Oh, I bet I will also be able to see if I've just got a bad or corroded connection after I remove the panel too! Cool...thanks again!
