drkmelvin 11-19-2005, 09:42 PM Same for me
timetoblaze 11-20-2005, 03:37 AM if there are more people then we should do it unless you guys think that a 4 person meet will be cool eitherway im down for a meet
swartlkk 11-20-2005, 11:14 AM Um... Yeah, that's a long ways for me. I'm up in the Finger Lakes, NY... It would be atleast an over nighter! Next summer, I'll be travelling up to MA for a meet with BonnevilleClub, but that'll be like 20-30 people up there and it's a 3 day event.
I have always wanted to setup a Yahoo (I think) Community map for all of our members to see where everyone else is. That way we can coordinate easier. I'll have to check it out.
LittleDan911 11-24-2005, 08:56 PM Yeah Its A Little Far For Me I'm In Ann Anbor, Michigan..........
drkmelvin 11-29-2005, 04:11 PM WUSSIES...what ever happened to taking road trips
swartlkk 11-29-2005, 04:34 PM My dad's got acouple acres of mowed grass out back of his place that we could pitch some tents in. No trails to ride on though... I'm in the Finger Lakes... Would be a trip for those down in NJ or New England States....
drkmelvin 11-29-2005, 10:14 PM I'm deff. in...as long as I'm invited...I love camping
swartlkk 11-29-2005, 10:41 PM Heck, Sampson State Park is right down the road. The park is built on the grounds of an old Naval base on Seneca Lake. They have a nice museum there. We always used to 'camp' there when I was a kid until my brother & sister were old enough to go up to the Adirondacs.
drkmelvin 11-30-2005, 04:37 AM Do they have actual camping up there?
swartlkk 11-30-2005, 08:06 AM Around me, it really isn't camping in the traditional sense. Sampson has electricity at every site and running water pretty damn close to every site. Not really camping in my book. Plus they have wide open areas. Not so many wooded sites.
We go to Fish Creek & Rollins Pond in the Adirondacks and Rollins Pond has no electricity at the sites and water is every 10 or so sites. Bathrooms are quite a ways apart too and showers are about 2 miles away from our usual site.
drkmelvin 11-30-2005, 09:16 AM Do they do camping in the winter? The wife has a vacation after Christmas, and I'm trying to decide where to go.
swartlkk 11-30-2005, 09:24 AM Nope... Not in NY anyway.
drkmelvin 11-30-2005, 09:28 AM Damn... Well that idea is gone
enrybwerd 11-30-2005, 08:43 PM im so jealous.
i'd come, but im in TX.. far far away. and still in school, so road trips outta the question too. :(
Jhop16 11-30-2005, 11:02 PM i live in southern tier NY, not far from finger lakes its like ...half hour drive for me .... i think it'd be fun to have a meeting, me and my bro went to a F-Body meeting in NC last summer so boring tho, they just met up , drank like crazy , then went for a along ass drive showing off there cars, i think it'd be fun if we had like 10 -20 people meeting and then find some crazy trails ...be a fun and a very worth while trip :)
timetoblaze 12-01-2005, 01:22 AM was the driving being done the next morning? lol and not drinking then driving....
Bocomo 12-01-2005, 05:11 PM So it would be quite a drive, however if Paddle_grl, mOOnwater and Talusgirl are showing up, then I might have time for the trip:D
I mean what happens at club meetings stays at club meetings right?[8D]
