I'd be interested in seeing how they accomplish putting a spacer onto the CPI motor... 95LS 04-19-2008, 11:07 AM http://www.performancecenter.com/throttle-body-spacer/jet-powr-flo-throttle-body-spacer *Combining Consecutive Posts* i just looked at that site and it says in red right under the picture NOT TBI models. then under the description it says it fits between the stock throttle body and intake manifold. i thought by 95 they got rid of the throttle bodiesand they were all cpi motors? 95LS 04-19-2008, 11:13 AM i just looked at that site and it says in red right under the picture NOT TBI models. then under the description it says it fits between the stock throttle body and intake manifold. i thought by 95 they got rid of the throttle bodiesand they were all cpi motors? swartlkk 04-19-2008, 12:00 PM Yeah, there was no TBI for '95, but the other thing you need to look at is where said spacer would even go... Last I looked, the throttle body and upper plenum were all one peice. 95LS 04-19-2008, 01:18 PM to be honest i havent even looked at mine. but i was under the assumption that it could be replaced or removed because i read on a post here where people take off a piece on the back of the butterfly to make it less restrictive. if it was all one piece how could someone remove the restrictive piece on the butterflies? swartlkk 04-19-2008, 01:20 PM That is on the '96+ SCFI motors. Not on the CPI motor. 95LS 04-19-2008, 10:58 PM i dont see why that site claims that will work on my 95 if the tb is part of the intake then obviously i cant take it apart to put the spacer in there. swartlkk 04-20-2008, 05:59 AM That's what I'm sayin'! The picture they show would work on the TBI motor (if they were still around - which for the blazer I do not think they were). 95LS 04-20-2008, 11:13 AM ive been lookign at a volant cai and on their website it shows the round top (to fit on the TBI) for a 95. i guess they were still around in 95 ??? beatinPearls 12-31-2008, 05:11 PM idk if its 4.3 specific but Hogan manifolds makes a sheetmetal intake......for like $3000.....but damn its sexy. i have also wanted to make an adaptor to put a 78mm LS1 throttle body on a CPI intake. linkage and sensors are all on the corresponding sides. one of our dealers said they have made one before but i havent seen pics or anything. would like to get a donor intake and try it still. |
