Hey again everyone.

I had to take a bit of a hiatus again from the forum. I've been crazy busy with school and work recently and needed to concentrate my energy toward those so i decided to step back from most of the places that i lurk on the internet.

But now i got some things in order so I plan on getting back on the forum some more. As far as new news, um, I almost got my front axle completely built, just got a few parts left to order, i found some 35's thanks to thegr81,Dale hit 148,000miles two days ago, i got a nice promotion at work, and im buying a new truck tomorrow.

Now before anyone goes, "wait, what about Dale?" and "Is he for sale and how much?"relax, I'm keeping him. Hes going to be a secondary vehicle/trail truck. This is what i always had planned for him so having a new daily driver will help me meet that goal.

The new truck is actually used but its new to me. Its a 2002 Silverado LT Z71. Its red with black fender flares and has grey leather interior. Its only got 99k miles on it and the guy wants just 11,700 for it. The truck is immaculate as this guy babies everything he owns (my dad and I used to work for the company that serviced his houseboat and that thing was spotless). When i pick it up tomorrow i will take some pictures to show you all.


At any rate though, im back and i hope to be able to dedicate more time here as I've been wanting to for some time.

I dont at the moment. I can take some tomorrow. One thing that has changed since i last posted here is that i took the tire carrier off the back. My buddy with a jeep has rammed into me several times (just cuz he thinks its funny)causing the rear gate to dent around the striker plate and it weakened the mounts on the side, causing one to tear right through the sheetmetal, washer and all. So the carrier is off and im repairing the holes. Eventually im going to make a new bumper with my dad that has a swing away carrier on it that will be stronger.

By the way, If anyone is looking for a spare tire carrier, mine is available for sale. I'll make the appropriate post in the for sale section once i get pictures. Any requests prior tomy postcan pm me before then. I'm asking $100+shipping but i will take reasonable offers.

Anyway enough schilling away from me. Thanks for the welcoming back, glad to see some people still remember i exist, LOL.

Now that i got me a DD (and a very nice one at that, dude you gotta see this truck, i am still in shock athow nice this thing is)i will have more time and freedom to work on Dale (ie i can actually take my time carving up and rebuildingthe front suspension). Plus if i break Dale, now i can take him home.

Thanks. And i already am loving that better mileage. Getting about 17.5MPG in the city right now driving gingerly. Its great. Should get better too when i pick up a tonneau cover on friday.

Yeah, im still here. Well physically im herein a virtual sense, though mentally its anyones guess :D.

Go out and look for these trucks man. 02' Silvy's are cheap and they are everywhere. Most in great shape too. Only paid $11,700 for mine.



Speaking of my truck though, im still accepting ideas for names. As of current here are my top runners in order of which i like most.

Zeke
Dave
Chip
Dale Jr (LOL!!)

Heymy name won. Thats pretty good considering I can't even name my own trucks.:D

Ya know that rule where ya arent supposed to drag up old threads becuz they are well....old. Well, forgive me for making an exception to that rule but after yet another hiatus (long story to this one.....ill leave it be at that....) IM BAAAAAACK!!!!!!

And i mean it this time when i say im back here. No excuses, no personal BS, none of that. I'm here to stay.

As far as whats new, um, well not a whole heck of alot i guess. I'm still in college pursuing my degree and working my butt off at work like usual. Um, i havent done much to Dale except build a final parts list that im slowly whitteling down.

Zeke on the other hand i did a small upgrade to. I went and got a dash bezel out of a 2004 silverado and replaced the stock one so i could mount a double din radio in Zeke. Mind you this took some carving of the cavity behind the radio but thats beyond the point ;). Now i have a Pioneer AVIC-700BT as my stereo in the truck. Other than that, thats all i got. Im sure ill see you all around the forums.

Get rid of him?!?! BLASPHEMY! LOL. I dont plan on getting rid of him anytime soon. Even if the motor goes, ill just fix or replace it. Pretty much i plan to keep driving him till they stop making parts or until i cant fix him anymore, whichever comes last.

Good news about the SFA is i should be able to afford everything i need very soon and I hope to have him done this spring so i can take him out all this summer to go rock crawlin.
