Many chevy truck owners have told me this, but is there a way to eliminate the freaking annoying sounds on the dashboard and on the trunk?
Maybe just find every possible screw there is and tighten it? I dunno...
Every time I hear these sounds, it reminds me that my stereo is not very loud???!!!
Why do our trucks get so loose in the interior so fast?
Ummm, not knowing.
Maybe your truck was biult on a Friday say about 3:30 pm.

Is it the plastic creaks? If your mind is going in that same direction, let us know. Yeah, we have many pieces of plastic and lots of it doesnt have quite as much attention to how it is actually attached. The joining of two pieces of plastic or plastic to metal makes life interesting and will always cause slight noises. But they could do a lot better. There could be strips of thin padding used between the sections as they are assembled. MONEY, COSTS?? It's not a Rolls?
Several other brands build things the same but cover things up with much noise proofing, adding work and weight to the finished product. In order to compensate for costs, and weight, you should take their products apart and prove to yourself that less quality material is used in places that are far more important. like I say, take them apart yourself, look at the thickness of metal and bolt sizes and such. If you feel that things are better padded and more quiet in the other brands and they costs the same, just imagine what it is they left off elsewhere.

Pull some covers and panels off. insert some great stuff in there. Reinstall the covers and or panels quickly. clean up/wipe up any expanding foam. with your best clothes. You wont regret it. Now about gapping those Bosch +4s can any one help me?

Would you please be a bit more specific on this?

Did you check the link Paddle girl posted? The dash noise my be associated with it.
The rear leaf springs may need a good lubing up at the bushings.

Its a truck, not a luxury car. Certain noises are gonna happen. Sometimes a simple piece of rubber will fix the noise forever.

It is a truck, true...but I have driven Explorers, Montero Sports, 4runners, Jeeps, (all were made in the same/similar years) and none of them have that shaky, rattle inside the car!
What I like the most of chevy trucks is how cumfy they are and how smooth the ride is...the complaint I have is the annoying sounds...

GM and the infamous dash rattle.... A lot of it has to do with production quality (or lack of) but some double sided rubber strip tape can take care of most anything.
