jagblazer01 02-23-2006, 08:40 PM who makes some good lift kits for a decent price? i checked a local shop and the only one they could find was a 2" lift. does anyone make a 4" for my truck?

RedBlaze 02-23-2006, 11:23 PM Lowering does not look gay. In fact it can look really good like in that picture. I say since you have 4x4 to lift it up though.
jagblazer01 02-24-2006, 12:49 AM that is a very good looking lowered blazer. since mine is 4x4 i am leaning more towards a lift.
cherryred4x4 02-24-2006, 12:51 AM I looked into a lift for my Blazer. Youre going to spend about $600 for 2". Superlift and Rough Country make 2" lifts, Trailmaster makes a 5" lift, and Superlift makes a 6" lift. The 6" is about $1800 if I remember right. Belltech makes a 3/3 drop kit for 4wd, about $160 on stylinconcepts.com
Oh, and they dont roll that easily, I've done some crazy sh*t in my Blazer and only lifted a wheel once.
4lowlife 02-24-2006, 12:54 AM How about a suspension lowering kit with the tallest body pucks you can find. Then add dome killer 24" rims.
cherryred4x4 02-24-2006, 01:36 AM hahaha, now that would look pretty wierd, a lowered suspension with a body lift.

Could you stuff 24"s in there with that setup?
cherryred4x4 02-24-2006, 02:07 AM I dont know,i guess if you lower it 3" and then put a 3" body lift, you would be back at stock height.
4lowlife 02-24-2006, 02:12 AM yeah, kinda redundant huh? DOH!
m00nwater 02-24-2006, 09:38 AM Well, my gf and I just saw a lowered JEEP the other day with what looked to be about 33's running under it...THAT was GAY![sm=boosign.gif]
I always say if it's 4x4 to lift, but there are a lot of people in here that can tell you that lowering it works, too. I have seen some of the lowered stuff in here, and as much as I am not a fan of lowering vehicles, I do have to concede that when done properly, they look good.
Autoidiot 02-24-2006, 11:40 PM TRASH.
jagblazer01 02-25-2006, 02:13 AM interesting concept. lol lowering a jeep[8D]

Yes, it should. It was the stupidest thing I have ever seen. It was the gayest gay that ever gayed. :D

LOL
blazingsadle 02-26-2006, 10:15 PM I checked very carefully. Leave it like it is and you'll be noticed for being "different", cause nothing has been done to it.
Repair whats going to deteriorate soon and save the rest for a good time.
Take your best family and friends out for a good nite on the town and pay for all of it. Remind them thats because you didnt spend the money on your truck.
zero psi 02-27-2006, 11:54 PM be a man and bag it! [sm=badbadbad.gif]
2001blazer 02-28-2006, 01:27 AM ok so do u think it would look "GAY" if there was a 4dr 4x4 truck with out being lowered and had 20 inch rims on it? j/w lay it on im thinkin about doin this.........
but as for lowering and lfting im a fan of both i like lowered trucks alot but only if there done well and lfted looks sweet but i still like to see the truck being clean haha and it has to look nice aswell
jagblazer01 02-28-2006, 07:28 PM bags would be nice but i wanna lift it. plus would you have to disconnect the 4 wheel drive to bag it? ive heard from some local shops you may have to disconnect the 4x4 to install bags
zero psi 02-28-2006, 10:41 PM ive seen it done with keeping the front axle operational. of course there is no "bolt on" kits to do it, but any good shop will be able to do it. don't get me wrong, it'll cost big bucks if you cant do it yourself, but it'll look sweet! im not a big fan of lifting, but do whatever makes you happy.
jagblazer01 02-28-2006, 11:01 PM thanks for the input. by the way zero psi, i like your s10 pic. did you have to cut the bed to lay frame or did you just notch it?
Acer2428 03-01-2006, 06:53 AM I could see lowering a 2wd truck. The extreme's look really nice, so why not?
Just seems purpose-defeating to lower a 4x4.... Sure, you COULD get out of the mud if it wasn't up to your frame :D
Hanr3 03-01-2006, 03:22 PM I think of it this way.
4x4 get lifted.
and its ok to lower a 2wdr if you really must. :D
That Blazer will be just fine. Rollovers are drivers error. I have seen cars roll over.
2" body lift and you can fit 31" tires. 2" lift of any kind and you can fit 31" tires. To get bigger tires, lets talk....
Acer2428 03-02-2006, 04:54 AM 33's stock baby!
Ah, the joys of a full-size rig ;)
jagblazer01 03-16-2006, 11:11 PM im making a come back on this thread. lol...will 255/70r16 fit on stock suspension?
cherryred4x4 03-17-2006, 06:27 PM It would fit, but its most likely going to rub some, like on the sway bar. Here is a LINK (http://www.bridgestonetire.com/tireselector/dpp/sizespecs.asp?passproductid=1055) to Bridgestone sizes and specs. A 255/70R16 is equal to a 30X10. Hanr3 has a real good write-up about what fits, but I believe its a 30X9.50 used in his test. A 245/70R16 should fit just fine no problems. Hope this helps.

jagblazer01 03-20-2006, 10:22 PM Im def. gonna lift it since its 4wd. not alot though....only 2". enough to fit some decent tires on my truck
4lowlife 03-20-2006, 10:30 PM Lift it. It's fun to look down at chicks in tank tops and see cleavage.
