i purchased this with the hopes of being able to modify it for my 97, but after further research found i would need to make mounts for the bumper as well as brackets on the bottom. ohhh well im going to sell this one and get the right one. this is ONE SOLID piece. it has removable head light guards, but other than that its welded together. the paint is starting to peel a little on the bottom, it would be easy to sand off that section and re paint it. this was an expencive bar when purchased new, from what i have found it is just under $500 USD

im selling it for what i payed for it, $250 CND. thats the same as $200 USD. *damn exchange rate*

do you know would it fit on a 2003? Also where are you located in canada? Im in Edmonton.

i dont know i cant say for sure, from what i have found it seems like it goes from 98-02.

that wont fit your 97? i have a 97 LS aswell and i have a brush guard from an '06 zr2 on it, and it fits well, mounted right up...i didnt have to fab anything but i did have to make minor adjustments to the angles of the mounting brackets.

I think it depends whether it mounts to the bumper or frame. I had a brush guard that was frame mounted on my 95 and transferred it over to my 98 with no problems. I believe the bumper mounted ones aren't interchangeable.

mine is frame mounted but i believe it was a bumper mount on the ZR2 that it came off of. the only problem that i have with mine is i need to fab some brackets to give it just a little morestability. seeing how it came off a newer and different vehicle its not a perfectmatch up but its close enough to where it acctually mounts....the one you have a bumper mount or a frame mount?
