2 inch body lift originally then did the swap. aprox 12 more inches with 35 swamper boggers. also did a 5 speed tranny swap. tired of changing the crappy auto tansmissions.

The tranny swap was very easy. I gatherd all the parts needed so i was prepared. The most difficult thing to install for me was the clutch and brake pedal. Driling through the firewall and dealing with wires in the way. the fire wall has dimples in it as to were the holes need to be drilled for the slave cyl.
I used a tranny out of a zr2 blazer my transfer case bolted right up and would have been able to use the stock size driveshaft it it was not for the solid axle swap.
Other than that a hole in the floor for the shifter and some other odds and ends it went very well we a buddy and i did it in 2.5 hours with a hoist.

What axle did you use? Didnt YJs in the early '90s come with either Dana 44s or Dana 30s?

And what steering setup did you use? The stock YJ crossover?
