i was looking at a guys truck there and he squeezed on 38" tires with 7"s of lift and i was wondering if it would require a lil "modding" to fit and use offroad without rubbing

38's would require LOTS of modding and trimming to be driveable, i know theres a guy on here running 34's with a 6" susp. left and 2" body lift and he had to some hefty triming.

I have run 38/15.50-15s Gumbo Mudders on 15x10 rims on several full size K5s with a 6" lifts. (These tires actually measure 36" tall) You just gotta trim the front fenders a bit or go to an 8" lift in order not to rub the fronts while turning and articulating.

right now im running 35" tires fine with 6" lift on my k5 blazer. I mean my original idea was to use the ord 1" zero rate add a leafs and put on some 37x14.50r15 tsl boggers, but if i could fit 38" tires i was gonna go that route. I hounestly want to stay away from a body lift, i have been told by a few people that a 1-2" body lift is the max they suggest for a offroad vehicle.

so basicly im asking would 37-38" tires fit with 7" of lift and with the ord 1" zero rate add a leafs they say you can move the axles a bit. I imagine if i moved the axle slightly it would work but then would i need new driveshafts?

If you are already running a 6" lift then you are not gonna be able to get another 1" of height out of the front leaf packs... and DO NOT put blocks in the front, very dangerous. I would just go ahead with the 38"s and be prepared to do a 1" OR 2" body lift or a slight front fender trim if necessary. As far as the drive shafts are concerned... just crawl under the truck and look at them, if they are stock then the 6" lift may already have them at their outer range when extending.

Well i was talking with a friend of mine today and he has a set of 37x14.50 swamper boggers he said he would sell me. He ran them on a 79 ford bronco, he says 600-700 dollars. So if i was to put them on should i cut the front fenders a little? More importantly it has a 350/th700r/np208/10-bolt axles i plan on changing the trans and motor but i hope to leave the rest stock.

It may not even be necessary to trim the front fenders. The weak link in your drive train is gonna be u-joints and that 10 bolt semi-floater rear end. How long it lives will be dependant on how hard you use the go pedal.

....Well i have good news and bad news, good news is the blazer does awesome one wheel burnouts.....the bad news is in the process i blew the rear dif up and cracked the housing.....so im on the hunt for a 14-bolt..and untill then im probaby going to patch the rust while its out of comission my grandpa is awesome with sheetmetal and whatnot and said he would help me build patch panels i am also probably going to strip the seats and carpet and check the floors out....cya
