ok figured i would start one. truck as it sits now has 10inches of lift, motor is in assembly, driveline is 14bff and a blow gm 10bolt, i sold my tires so its sitn on junk 31s. My plan is to get my motor back in, its somewhere in the range of 400-450 so i gots decent power in her, then pull axles out, fab custom lift which i havent decided what size i wanna run but it will be somewhere from 12inches to 26inches, then put the 20tons on 52iinch tractor tires under in, build custom ladder bars, figer out brakes and steering and i will be set!!! o yea and to those who dont know im only 16. whoops forgot lol its a 77 chevorlet scottsdale 4X4, has standard tranny and cast tcase.

well, if your going to use tractor tires, and want to "figure out steering" why not just rob the orbital hydrolic steering box off of a tractor? Thats what the big boys use (monster trucks/truck pullers/etc).

At 16 I hope this isn't going to be a daily driver... :p

Keep us updated with the progress..we need pics too!! :D
Mud trucks are always good...my dream is to have an old mud truck someday specifically for off roading, one I don't have to worry about trashing or passing inspection. Purely offroad
