View Full Version : muffler leakin rust water? BlazerSquad93 02-01-2005, 10:56 PM I just got my 93 Blazer but I don't have plates and insurance so its been sitting for a little. I start it up and let it run at least once a week, but there seems to be a rusty water coming out of my muffler. The muffler just got replaced less then a year ago...should I be worried? Is there anything I can do? What is causing it? Help me please! zero psi 02-05-2005, 11:36 PM its condensation inside your pipe. theres nothing you can do about it. its rusty because your exhaust pipe isn't painted inside and the water is causing it to rust. well, you could get an aluminized or even stainless exhaust bent up...if you were building a show truck. otherwise, i wouldn't worry about it. its normal wear and tear. Water got inside (don't know how) and my cat rusted and fell off. It sounded like a crotch rocket when I gave it a little gas. It was pretty sweet sounding since it made my car sound like it had balls. Just check for rust once in a while underneath just to make sure. Just don't go and spray water with a hose up there or park it in water that's higher than the exhaust tip.
