Our 4300K is a search keyword, aftermarket HID's do not come in 4300K, those are manufactured oem directly from the cars. We do carry the 5000K which is the closest color to the oem (White with light tint of yellow).

Michelle, I currently have 5000K HID which had a more blue hue than I was hoping for. I learned to deal with it since they were so much brighter than regular bulbs but over the last year and a half, they seemed to have colorshifted to a darker blue.

Ideally, I would like 55W 4300K HID in a 9006 bulb but this is a great deal so I may end up ordering another set of 55W

I noticed you say that you currently have a 55w 5000K HID kit, the reason why it's more blue then you hope for is because the 55w ballast is giving the bulb 15% more brightness (55w ballasts give 15% more brightness but it's 2-3 times the cost of 35w and has a shorter life) and the color may also be affected by the material and thickness and condition of your housing cover (glass or plastic), thicker glass will show more blue.

Wow, wish I'd seen this a few days earlier! This past Sunday, I got tired of my sickly yellow halogen lamps, and put in a $40 pair of brighter/whiter bulbs. (Merely swapping bulbs on my 97 ended up being a much bigger job than I ever realized) For $60 I could have gone with HID!

but apparently both are illegal in texas . You can't retrofit filament bulbs with HID
Nor can you install projectors unless they were stock when the vehicle was offered.

Thanks for your feedback and yes we always do tell customers that anything that is not stock 4300K HID are illegal. But on the other hand aftermarket HIDs were manufactured so that people who have cars that don't come with HID options when they purchase the car can get a low cost alternative.

Not all cars have HID options and alot of people would love to see better and clearer at night. Since HID has been distributed so widely, as long as you keep within the 8000K range, or to be safer 6000K range, you'll be fine.
I personally don't recommend anything above 10000K unless the customer insist on purchasing that color.

We don't get complaints about customers getting pulled over. Legality is also a sense of preference and is a set of rules the government made to keep people safe, and as long as the HIDs don't pose a threat on the people that uses them or around them, they wont make a big deal out of it. :icon_razz:

so how much would it be for a low beam kit, a high beam kit, and a fog light kit? i noticed EuroGoldLS is running 6000K for low's, and 5000K for hi's, is this the closest colour to pure white? the kits would be for a '98 Blazer LT.
i'm currently running APC Plasma Ulta White 9005 (HB-3) bulbs in my hi & low beams (65W actual, 100W Xenon equivalent brilliance). would the 6000K be similar in colour/brightness? i know it's kinda hard to answer a question like that without actually seeing them, i'm just looking for a comparison base on your knowledge (since you deal with the design and building of lighting systems).

I installed the 8000k kit on my 2000 Jimmy, and they are the best. Warmup time is quick, visibility is excellent, road signs much more visible, looks pretty cool as well. I angled them down, so I'm not blinding other motorists, and the range and spill is still excellent regardles.

Install time was about 20 minutes for both. Best $60 I've spent on Jimmy. The only thing I am not pleased with is my $60 Silvania Silverstars on the high beams are quite disappointing now. The dim yellow light from halogens will forever be inadequate :icon_razz:

I'll update when I can pull the before and after pictures off of my other machine.

I ordered the 9006 6k low beams earlier this morning and they will ship today as well! I have the silverstar ultras in right now which make the highbeams worthless by comparison, I can only imagine what the new lights will look like.

hi Michelle. i had asked you earlier about kits for all of my lights (HI & LOW, and the factory fogs), but i had a question i forgot to ask you.
i drive with my lights on all the time, day and night, rain or shine, and was wondering what the life of the bulbs were like?
i know the low beam bulbs would be the ones needing relacement the soonest (since they're in use most of the time), but i don't want to install a system that the bulbs only last 2000 hours (aprox. 1 year of driving for me) if the bulbs are pricey to replace. which brings up another question, where would we get our replacement bulbs from? (i would guess you)

I just called your customer service and asked them if they do overnite. they said they did.i just have to pay of course. i plan on ordering them tomorrow needing to get them by thursday. friday at the absolute latest. i just want to make sure with you that if i order them tom. at 10am they should be shipped by tom. and to me by thursday??correct?? they told me to make sure i call in the order so they can process the overnite. also i would like to know if I will still be able to use the code over the phone??

Guys i have a question. Does anyone know if these are illegal in NJ. I can't find a good answer. I hear that if its not a factor install it is illegal. I also hear that if you get projector headlights and keep the Bulb in the white/yellow range its legal. Apparently the factory reflectors are designed for Halogens and scatter HID light. Thats pretty much what ive read so far. Maybe Someone Can Enlighten Me. I really rather pass inspection and not get pulled over.

For your record, all aftermarket HIDs are illegal .
The only legal Kelvin HID is oem at 4300K .

But since aftermarket HIDs are so popular and sold everywhere not, the cops won't get you if you get closer colors to oem. Our closest color is 5000K which you will have no problems, otherwise the 6000K pure white would be fine too.

If you don't go above 6000K you should be fine.

The set I ordered was actually for my girl's G6. She wanted 'those fancy blue ones' so I think they'll be good. But she isn't getting them until Christmas so the pics will be postponed until then. I'll get a set for myself later after I see if the 10k are too blue for my taste.

I agree. 10k is way too blue. I prefer something under an 8k...probably 5 or 6k.

I don't have pics yet but I did get the HIDs installed that I ordered. The hardest part was getting the headlight housing off of the G6. Everything else was a snap. The 10k set that I ordered does have a very noticeable blue hue to them but I don't think it's over the top. I would personally go a little lower but my girl absolutely loves them. Both the color and added visibility. She noted how it illuminated signs much further down the road and reflectors on other cards practically look like lights.

Ok here is my review on my HID kit.

I bought the H4 HI/LO 6000k kit.

Ordered on 12/29/2009 and received them 1/2/10. Even with the Holiday they were here fast from California to New York. Opening the kit it was well packaged plain white box with everything, including instructions inside. Parts included zip ties, mounting hardware (mounting plate, nuts and bolts, and double sided tape), two bulbs, and two ballasts.

I installed them on my 1st Gen 1994 s10 Blazer. I mounted the passenger side ballast in the fender well, with the mounting plate, and the drivers side I will mount inside fender as well (when its warmer then 1 degree).

Install was completed within 25 minutes. Instructions weren't need it was simply plug and play. Lights fired up on the first try. The 6000k kit fires up with a blue color but as they warm up they turn to a bright white, with a very slight (hard to notice) blue tint. Warm up time is about 10-15 seconds to the pure white light (in 15 degree weather). The low beams are excellent, they burn very bright. The high beams aren't anything to brag about, but I bought this kit with no intent to use the high beams.

I previously had 5000k ebay special xenon bulbs, worked great but had a hard time seeing, especially in the rain. Upgrading to the kit was amazing visibility is greatly increased. I have no troubles seeing at night with these lights.

In conclusion, the kit from HIDextra was a great price, well packaged, and great quality. I will come back for all my HID kits. Thank you HIDextra for your great service, communication, and exceptional quality of your products.

Ok here is my review on my HID kit.

I bought the H4 HI/LO 6000k kit.

Ordered on 12/29/2009 and received them 1/2/10. Even with the Holiday they were here fast from California to New York. Opening the kit it was well packaged plain white box with everything, including instructions inside. Parts included zip ties, mounting hardware (mounting plate, nuts and bolts, and double sided tape), two bulbs, and two ballasts.

I installed them on my 1st Gen 1994 s10 Blazer. I mounted the passenger side ballast in the fender well, with the mounting plate, and the drivers side I will mount inside fender as well (when its warmer then 1 degree).

Install was completed within 25 minutes. Instructions weren't need it was simply plug and play. Lights fired up on the first try. The 6000k kit fires up with a blue color but as they warm up they turn to a bright white, with a very slight (hard to notice) blue tint. Warm up time is about 10-15 seconds to the pure white light (in 15 degree weather). The low beams are excellent, they burn very bright. The high beams aren't anything to brag about, but I bought this kit with no intent to use the high beams.

I previously had 5000k ebay special xenon bulbs, worked great but had a hard time seeing, especially in the rain. Upgrading to the kit was amazing visibility is greatly increased. I have no troubles seeing at night with these lights.

In conclusion, the kit from HIDextra was a great price, well packaged, and great quality. I will come back for all my HID kits. Thank you HIDextra for your great service, communication, and exceptional quality of your products.

well i got the bi-xenon kit (9007) and with the supplied relay harness the lights wont come on, i was kinda in a rush but everything appeared hookd up okay but the truck might have a bad headlight plug, tommorow i will replace it and see if i can get both lights to work
right now one light works in low and the other turns on in high without the relay harness
and neither turn on with the harness, the lights just strobe very slowly
when i say strobe i mean the light flashes very quick on then stays off for a few seconds the flashes real qiuck again the stays off for a few seconds

You should be able to use it multiple times, you just have to do each order separately...? Or at least that was how I understood it.
