Bought my car when I was 16, now 23 I don't think I will ever get rid of it. I just like everything about them. After doing the motor swap at 17 in high school, it became a "hot rod" according to some guys at school. There is a movie clip in that thread of my caprice. Here is a link to the clip (http://www.blazinjason.com/caprice.wmv) 355, TH400, full length headers, 2 1/2" --> ravins. I'm still searching for a 91-96 b body disc rear end. Also want to upgrade the front rotors to 12" as well with 5 on 5 bolt pattern. I was going to spend this summer working on it, but I got a blazer...... I thought I would just pick up the blazer and practice body work on it. Well it's now a little bit of a bigger project than I had originally thought.

I'm gone for a week and suddenly there's a million new people. Glad to see that you kept the camera at least five feet away from the exhaust tips. So many people have the camera right beside it and all the sound is distorted. Great sounding car!

Thanks I think it sounds pretty nice. At idle it has a nice deep tone. I'm thinking about getting something similar for my blazer too. But the blazer will probably be louder with what I want to do. Would like 2 1/2" to the mufflers, then dump in front of the rear wheels. Might have to get mufflers that are a little quieter than my caprice.

Please be aware that several state laws prohibit such an exhaust dump due to the chance of exhaust gases entering the passenger compartment. Most laws are worded such that the exhaust must exit behind the rear axle OR behind the furthest point of outside access to the passenger compartment AND out from under the vehicle. So for any blazer, the second part of that statement would be at the rear bumper due to the rear hatch.

Giant yanks from a ranger. I mean 20 foot full speed runs from a ranger. probably 10 times before I got enouigh momentum to back out. Plus there was a crap load of water inside the truck too. Now it smells a little swampy.

i have a bunch of pics in the gallery of my rides. the best one i ever had though was my cutty. the timing chain jumped on the 3.1, the pistons and the valves did a little dance, so i had to junk it. it had the digital gauges with the tach.

In TX neons are only ilegal if you have them on when your vehicle is in motion. So I only got them on in parking lots at home that kind of thing.

hey so how much does it cost to get my wheels aligned?
i was drifting in this church parking lot and it was solid ice so i went into this drift and couldnt pull out and slammed into one of those cement blocks that are at the end of parking stalls, and broke the cement block in half
so ya my wheels a little messed up
isnt it only like 50 bucks to get them done?

i had my alighment done a few weeks ago, cost me around 75 bucks.

thanks for the light compliments guys--i love em! not exactly sure what they are, but cost me less money shipped than i sold my stockers for!! lol.....im planning on partially painting them---they look a little cheap right now, but once i paint this part they will look like they belong....keep an eye out for the thread once i get around to it [8D]

oh and another headsup---if you buy any lights off of ebay run a bead of clear silicon around the seals before you put them on---the plastic welding the manufacturer uses isnt very "sealing" haha

Thanx everyone for the compliments. wheels are ADR Design Magnus. its funny how i came across them, iwasnt looking for them.lol i went to have a tire fixed at some little shop and he had just took them as trades. i asked him what he wanted he said give me 600 and you can have them. I asked about tires and he said that includes tires. so lol i went to an atm in a hurry. Yes a step shaver is planned after xmas is over. Spending too much on the stereo as we speak.

The wheels are 20 x 9 and the truck is still at stock height.

b_eavans thats one slick ride! Almost like my twin lol. how did you go about shaving the rear wiper? was it a pain? and how low do you got that thing?

Its a 4/5 drop with spindles and 2inch springs in the front and 4 inch block and pulled leaf in the back. I had a local shop shave the rear end and they took all the wiper assembly out of the tailgate and made filler panels and welded the holes up. The hatch still opens from the button in the dash and on the key remote. I also had them paint the roll pan. I had to cut off 3 inches of the frame for the roll pan to sit flush on the back. Oh yea thanks for the compliments your blazers look good too. 2 door blazers have always been on of my favorite vehicles.

1999 Blazer 4x4. I wanted to lift it two inches and put some nice wide mudders on it like Cow Killer (http://www.blazerforum.com/showProfile.asp?memid=2901)did in for his. The thing is, I'm not sure how those running boards would look with that and I worry about taking them off. What do you guys think?

Do what you think would look right. You don't have to remove them, But I would thats just me, others would leave them on.

Pics arent great but you get the idea.

When I got this it would not run (would start and run for a few minutes and die). Ended up having to trailer it home after a backfire blew the muffler off.

I have had this for a little over a week and have completed the following repairs

1.iginition control module
2. coil
3. distribtor cap
4. rotor cap
after replacing the above parts it is back to running
5. muffler
6. u joints on front axle
7. wipers
8. oil change
9. transfer case fluid change
10. rear shock

The is a problem with the 4wd activation system somewhere in the vacuum system. I deceided not to replace the vacumm switch and acuator. Instead I have on order a posi-lok cable. I liked the idea of having a cable tie in versus the vacuum system.

So far I have $1100 tied up ($600 for the Blazer and $500 in parts/repairs). I didnt think that was too bad.

Next up is the cosmetic stuff, windsheld, scrape old tint and retint, new radio, etc, etc, etc.

Nice house rlt. The Blazer is ok too, not a big fan of that body style though.

I also prefer the newer body style, but this is my first entry in the Blazer world. It will not be my last. I would love to find a newer one and trade my civic. This one is probably not going to be a daily driver and I would like to have one to drive and keep this one to tinker with.

Well, here's my new addition... I bought my grandpa's old truck from my grandma for $4,000.00. Some of you may remember my previous post about how I got the truck when my papaw passed away. Anyways, its got 42,000 miles on it now so its just barely broken in.. I cleaned it up yesterday so here ya go.. you might notice my blazer in the bottom of the driveway in the first pic...

Ebay. Check out mine in my gallery or on my cardomain page. It is a decal, but you can't tell unless you look real close. If you like it, go to ebay and search blazer carbon fiber and one or more of the choices should be the bowtie. You can also get any color or design you want in case anyone else is interested.

I havent posted on here yet so here goes. I will be updating some pics in my gallery in a little bit as I am getting new things (tires, subs, headunit, exhaust, shocks).
