View Full Version : Opinions on these Halo Projectors
TheDesertFox 09-18-2006, 01:42 AM In about a month or so I'll be getting *THESE* (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/98-01-02-03-CHEVY-BLAZER-EURO-ION-PROJECTOR-HEAD-LIGHTS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33710QQihZ008QQi temZ180027795852QQrdZ1) Halo Projector Headlights. Now Im new to these housings and from the pics I can only see one hole to plug a bulb into. (The inner one, the highbeam/DRL bulb) But where is the hole to plug my lowbeam bulb into? Is this how its supposed to be, does the halo act as ur lowbeam or what? Im a noob at halos so be kind :D
Thanks
-Luke
XBlazer01 09-18-2006, 01:47 AM I have those. only complaint would be fitment is kinda off abit. Also you cant change the low beam bulb!
At least i dont know the way to. it seems sealed in there
jagblazer01 09-18-2006, 10:20 AM i have those as well...no complaints other then the one Xblazer stated
LORCLAS 09-18-2006, 12:14 PM I would recommend you ride/drive in a vehicle at night that has Halo's. I rode in my buddies Blazer Xtreme with Halo's and the visibility was not that great.
Just my opinion.:D
sledneck16 09-18-2006, 02:58 PM well I upgraded my low beam bulbs to a high beam buld and now my low beam is as good as the stock lows---the high beam stayed pretty much the same :D
TheDesertFox 09-18-2006, 05:27 PM Ok thanks, thats a shame cause i have xenon bulbs and i wanted to transfer them over. Hey sledneck, so you popped a highbeam bulb into the lowbeam slot in ur halos? if so how'd u get in there?
P.S. O and Xblazer01 im gonna need to hit ya up for a write-up for wiring these puppies in please, im getting them in a month so ya dont have to worry bout anything now. Thanks!!
XBlazer01 09-18-2006, 05:37 PM Gotcha I'll get on that sometime this week for ya. I'll show ya which wires to splice into and all that jazz
TheDesertFox 09-18-2006, 05:56 PM Thank ya kindly good sir!

jagblazer01 09-18-2006, 08:16 PM you could try stylinconcepts
blazinloud 09-18-2006, 08:51 PM looked, they dont have them [:-]
sledneck16 09-18-2006, 09:05 PM lol push and turn :D
edit: sorry maybe i should clarify--i used a bulb that fit into the low beam slot but with a high beam similar wattage/candlepower rating
TheDesertFox 09-19-2006, 09:49 AM yea how did you get into ur lowbeam bulb slot? Cause from the pics of the headlights it looks as if the lowbeam bulb is sealed? Is it not?
blazin97 09-19-2006, 05:10 PM I got the same ones but they are black and not chrome

Those def look better than the other ones. But of course I like both cause I don't have either one. :(
Has any one ever seen a dual halo projector headlight for blazers? I thought I saw one before but I could be wrong.

ive never seen dual halo's....they were probably home fabricated.
TheDesertFox 10-02-2006, 09:45 PM Well....got them in and they look nice. But now for some unknown reason my driver's side highbeam doesnt work, and its not the bulb, its the wiring somewhere. ahhhhhh, this sucks. I traced the wires back as far as possible ad didnt see anything amiss. Crap, now i need to take it and get it looked at. I have a feeling its the socket end that plugs into the bulb, but im just guessing. Ill post some pics when i can.
:(:(:(:(:(:(
sledneck16 10-03-2006, 12:04 AM check your fuses--I kept bending the back of the low beam bulb because it would hit the rad support--you may have to clearance it---i'll go snap a quick pic of what I had to do...and I'm assuming you figured out how to get the bulbs out [8D]
sledneck16 10-03-2006, 12:26 AM Ok here goes--the red circle is the size of the stock opening---do a better job than i did--it was a quick job--i'll make it nice eventually...and paint the edges you cut to prevent rustification!

TheDesertFox 10-03-2006, 06:24 PM Ok it was the DRL, popped it back in and now it works, but i dont want DRL, so what pin do i bend to disenguage them? Yea see the last time i just yanked the whole fuse out, so i suppose i need it for them to work, and if i bend the pin i can keep 'um working and stop my DRL from coming on.
My DRL fuse has 5 pins on it with the number 1-5 beside each pin.
I've a 98 btw.
