I haven't actually located the precise point the noise is coming from, but I thought I would throw it out to others that may know what part actually causes squeaking from the back window. I know that it is a prevalent problem in Blazers, so if anyone knows what usually squeaks and how it can be fixed (or at least quieted), I'd love to hear about it. I will probably do some more research on my truck to see if it can be more precisely pinpointed.

Mine does the same thing. The guy I bought it from thought it was the spare tire rack, so I'm taking it off within the next couple of days, I'll let you know how it works out.

Mine doesn't have the rack...my tire is mounted inside my truck...

Did you check the neumatic actuators, if they're not firm, they could be the source of the noise.

Hey guys theres a simple fix for that...

I had the same problem and was able to fix it in a few minutes... Is what you need to do is wipe down the rubber weather stripping around the window and the rubber stopper if you have a tire rack on back... Use something that will make the rubber more plyable... If I remember right I think I used baby oil. Also oil up the latch that locks in the rear tire rack.

Hope this helps...

Hey thats the way to go... I have a Kenwood 1800watt system with a set of 12's Rockfords and that takes care of any noise.... LOL
