I have a 2001 4-door 4x4 non-Zr2 non-High Rider Blazer. I want to lift it it 2 inches. I don't want a body lift. I have been looking at the superlift kit and the rough country lift kit. . . . Which would be the best bang for the buck or are there any others out there that would be just as good for equal or less money? Thanks for the help. . . . .

I am interested to hear....I have your exact same truck....but I will be replacing it next year with something bigger...

well all most of the kits do is crank the torsion bars and give you rear shackles, however this is hard on your suspension!

best bang for the buck is have some shackles 3.5' longer than the stock ones and turn the torsion bar preload bolts about 30 1/4 turns---thats what i did and it sits real nice now. I'm going with a 2' body lift, 31 inch tires(need to settle on rims first)

but yea if you find any different options let me know--the easiest s10 to lift (sadly) are the 2wd versions--theres just less in the front suspension (ie- cv shafts) to wear out faster and break [sm=signs003.gif]

see the superlift cranks the torsion bars, replaces the shocks, replaces the ball joints, and has new upper control arms. For the rear it is an add-a-leaf kit. They also offer warranty covering the destruction of stock components due to their kit. It replaces alot of stuff to keep the stock components in good shape. Also I have heard that add-a-leaf is way better than shackles or blocks on top-heavy vehicles...... is this true?



By the way.......... a 31 x 10.50 x 15 will fit on your stock rim. Your stock blazer rims are 15x7 and the rim width range on a 31 x 10.50 x 15 is 7 to 9 inches. . . just in case you dont wanna pay the extra for rims......

what did you do to your front suspension and what did you have to by and how high did it lift it

Don't do torsion bar lifts you will kick yourself for it later. The cheap maybe appealing but it's not so cheap after you keep replacing bakll joints and cv shafts

I think im just gonna do a body lift.... I've been looking into it and think it will look good... I was originally afraid that the frame would show too much and look bad, but i've found several pictures that proved me wrong....

if it shows put on some nerf bars. It won't be bad either way
