My girlfriend just bought a 1988 S10 Blazer. Real good shape but the stereo doesn't work. We are wondering what years' stock CD stereos will fit the 1988. I haven't yet talked her into an aftermarket with a mounting kit. Anyone out there tried to fit other years in a 1988? Any help appreciated. Thanks

Haven't tried a direct swap yet. Although all the old body styles should swap in just fine, as long as tehy are the same size.

I cannot imagine wanting to put in a stock unit. Even if you go with a cheap after market head unit, it's got to be better then the factory unit. Heck I might have a stock head unit laying around if you want to pay for shipping. Let me know and I'll look. Have you tried the salvage yards yet. They get tons of stereos in all teh time, stock and aftermarket. Usually a pile of them laying around the office somewhere.
