i noticed a big puddle of oil in my garage and did some research on it and this site helped me out alot on getting down to the problem. glad i fixed it myself instead of taking it into a shop. i went to the local auto store and only spent about $80.00 for both of the lines. the job went pretty smooth the line back to the engine block gave me the biggest headache. overall the job went well very easy and i completed the line change and oil change with in about an hour. so if there is anyone out there wondering on how hard it is to do this yourself as i was it is a very simple repair and alot less expensive to do it yourself. once again thanks guys

I got the used dealership to replace mine before i bought it...so hopefully their good for another 5 years.

When I was chaning my oil today I saw that my cooler lines were also leaking. Alone with my oil pan gasket and my rear main seal. I guess I'll be wrenching on it soon.

bout ready to swap both the filter line and the cooler line in my 95 4x4 as well getting them both for $75 including shipping from ebay, supposibly great quality and guarented. the forward one looks easy but how hard is it to do the back one (the two lines that go to and from the engine to the oil filter)? any suggestions to make the job easier?

i started out just using my extension with the socket on the end and that was a big headache then iused about a 12 inch extension and then used a swivel end with the socket and you can get it in to that area at an angle and it makes it much more simple. then there is a small backet that holds the lines up. that is a big headache also it just takes some time and some patience to get to that one other than that it is fairly simple.
