Thanks - has L6 engine Kordog 03-04-2007, 06:28 PM It looks to be attached to the side of the tank behind the sheild. It looks as though there is an access cover to get to it. HTH jerryh20 03-05-2007, 07:07 AM [>:]where's the cover. in the floor? There isn't any cover on the side of the tank - which side does it show the filter? guess i'll call the dealer today, couldn't yesterday. Kordog 03-05-2007, 09:28 PM There should be a skid plate, or sheild bolted to the tank brackets. I was looking at a poor picture of the system, as I have not yet replaced one personaly. Chevy Lover 03-06-2007, 03:12 AM This is what I found. For the 2005 model year, the fuel filter was changed from an external mount to internal version that is part of the fuel sender assembly. Due to the fuel filter location change, there is no longer a recommended fuel filter replacement criteria. 05 Chevrolet Trailblazer and Trailblazer EXT) and ( 05 GMC Envoy, Envoy XL and Envoy XUV) and ( 05 Buick Rainier swartlkk 03-06-2007, 03:42 AM Yeah, that's what I thought. I was pretty sure that the filter was internal to the tank... Kordog 03-06-2007, 11:14 PM Well then I need to tell my info people that they need to update there info!!! Heck they even showed a picture. Korey. 88s10Blazer 04-12-2007, 09:43 PM You need to change a fuel filter on an 05 already? Dang. EuroGoldLS 06-04-2007, 02:49 PM seems to be a common problem with the 2005 models. Our Envoy XL had the same problem, when we took it to the dealership to have it fixed, the mechanic said he has had to work on them often. swartlkk 06-04-2007, 02:56 PM Thank God my new Rainier has the external filter!! EuroGoldLS 06-04-2007, 04:06 PM It is a bit of a headache to change an internal filter, but at least you don't have to drop the whole tank. |
