What's the size/specs for the 5 speed shift knob? I'm thinking of switching out the stocker, if I can...

No problem. I can point you to a few others if you don't see anything you can't live without there.

I remember on my old 98 5speed I removed the factory knob and it was a b!tch. I unscrewed the whole thing from the base and put theknob in in a vice and pulled and twisted on the other end. It's held on by a glue. I put a Hurst T-shifter on mine. Hope this helps.

Did the hurst get threaded on, or is it glued on?

There are not any threads on the pipe for theknob. It just pushed on, it was a tight fit. I did apply a littleepoxy glue.

Do you happen to remember what size the shifter was? or the size of the shift knob hole?

That's kind of cool... Thanks for the link, though, I'm looking fore just the knob, I think... unless I can find a shifter that glows or something like that....

Streetglow makes some glow shift knobs in 10 different colors............ They are thin plastic though so it's a drawback.

I saw some nice LED glow ones on the 'bay, as opposed to neon.... Still gonna have to measure the shaft size, though, lol
