Default How can I tell if I have a Bose system?

I have a "new to me" '99 Jimmy SLT 4x4 that is loaded with options including steering wheel audio controls and factory 6 disc changer but NO deck. It wouldn't surprise me if it has a Bose system so if it does I will be tracking down an original Bose deck but if it doesn't, I will go aftermarket most likely.

My question is what is the easiest way (without looking for the amp under the console) that I can find out which system is in it? I think I recall Bose speakers usually having the Bose letters on the covers on Chevy before. Is this the case with the '99 Jimmy? Do I need to remove my console to find out? Is there a build sheet hidden in the vehicle anywhere with option list?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The rpo code list is in your glove box. You can decipher what options you have very easily from that list.

Oh thanks so much, that's great news. I'll check it out first chance I get.

Got the RPOs and decoded them. Here's the audio/stereo section of it. It doesn't seem like it's a Bose set up. Anybody know from these RPOs?

UL0 RADIO AM/FM STEREO, SEEK/SCAN, AUTO REV MUSIC SEARCH CASS, AUTO TONE, CLOCK, ETR. STEREO,AM/FM W/AUTO REV CASSETTE,AUTO TONE(UL0)

UP8 RADIO,PROVISIONS FOR STEREO INSTRUMENTATION STEREO RDO PROVISIONS(UP8)

U1Z PLAYER MULTIPLE COMPACT DISC, PASSENGER COMPARTMENT MULTI CD PLAYER,PASS COMPT(U1Z)

If anyone wants me to post all the vehicle options I can.
