Center console change
is it possible to put a center console from a new blazer/jimmy/bravada that has the tape player in the front of in a 95 blazer 4door. the console is from the newer ones without the shifer in it. and will the tape player work on 97 stock cd player or will i have to get a new one?

I'm kinda confused you say center console but then go talking about tape players, isn't that on the dash not the center console?

He's wondering about one like mine. It has the CD player in the dash unit, but the tape in the front of the console under the dash.

what year do u have? What cd player does the tape fit to? can it be swaped out for cd in the spot of the tape? and is it possible to put the stock 98-up factory cd player with the mounts on the side in my 95 blazer. my stock tape player has the mounts on the top. and the 97 Blazer has the mounts on the top and look like the style of the 98 and up. If i take off the mounts on the side can put the mounts on the top or just take off the side mounts and just stick it in there. are the plugs the same in the back?

It sounds like you really want a 98+. Just about every post you've had is about swapping your current setup out for something 98+ style. For all the money and effort your going to put into making it look like a later model 2nd gen why not sell yours and pick a 98 up? You should be able to get a 98/99 pretty cheap.

Well said Sisk, I've noticed that myself.
I also didn't know anyone used tape players anymore.
