Default Speaker Size

Hi, I just bought a Blazer ZR2 two door. I need to replace the rear speakers because they dont work. The problem is it seems like I have to remove a huge panel to access them. Is this correct? Also, what size is the rear speaker?

They are 6x9's, and you don't have to entirely remove the back panel, just most of the way. when you remove the old speakers, cut off the connector all the way up by the speaker. then get about a 9 inch piece of speaker wire and connect to that factory wires. for drivers side, Brown is positive, yellow is neg, for pass side dark blue is positive and light blue is negative. Sometimes they don't give you enough speaker wire to have any slack.
