Default RE: Stereo Wiring and Install Parts

that is the exact same wiring for your truck

here are the wiring codes for the after market harness
12v constant is Orange - connect to yellow wire on radio
12v switched is yellow(larger wire) - connect to red wire on radio
ground is black, connect to black on radio
ignore the grey and brown, for must and illumination. don't worry about them

Speakers are
Left Front
Tan is positive - connect to solid gray on radio
Grey is negative - connect to gray with black tracer on radio

Rt Front
Lt Green is Positive - connect to solid white on radio
Dk Green is Negative - connect to white with black tracer on radio

Left Rear
Brown is positive - connect to solid green on radio
Yellow(smaller wire) is Negative - connect to green with black tracer on radio

Rt Rear
Positive is Dk. Blue - connect to solid purple wire on radio
Negative is Lt. Blue - connect to purple with black tracer on radio

are you referring to the remote lead to tell the amp to turn on?? if you have a factory radio, should be connected to the larger yellow wire

you dont need to replace them unless you want to. it would be best to get a good set of component speakers and run the tweeter up to the dash. most speakers you see at walmart/circuitcity/bestbuy...etc.etc... are coaxial speakers that have a larger speaker and a built-in tweeter on top of that. some speakers take it to the extreme and have two or even three tweeters. i have 3way speakers in my front doors and 2way speakers in my rear doors. i have a 4x6 component speaker in the front dash.

i will probably end up getting new (component) front speakers within the next few months. i dont know how long the 3way pioneer speakers can take a 70w beating...
