Default Help with installing speakers!

I have a 99 4dr blazer and would like to install 6x9's in the front and back, but have no idea what to do. The haynes manual has an older blazer than mine and the directions don't work on mine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance.

6x9's will not fit in either front or rear door without MAJOR work.. Not worth any effort to even think about it. Replace them with 6.5" components in the front and 6.5" in the rear.

Sorry guys, I meant 6.5's. I got the screw off the door handle and the two bolts under the arm rest. Does the door panel just pop off after taking them off??? Is it just clipped on??? Thanks for the help!

On my 97 2dr whats in the back? 6.5 or 6.9? I have not opened it up yet but was thinking of just putting some sony but if your saying components sounds better than I might go with that. Which ones in particular are you talking about.

please dont buy sony speakers...or pretty much anything sony, lol. good components...lets see...rainbow, seas, focal, JL, mb quart, infinity, and thats all i can think of now. thayre all great companies that make quality stuff. the best thing to do is go to a shop and listen to a bunch of different components and choose which you think sounds best.
