dana 44 front end 6" suspension lift?

The mechanic/friend I take the truck to said there's a new 6" suspension lift out that has a dana 44 front diff. AND it has adaptors that use the stock front hubs. It's a major mod but you get a true dana 44 front differential & 6" of lift.
Sounds great to me, albeit the cost could be around $6000 I'm guessing incl. the dana 44.
Or he's playing me for mo-money lol, but IMO that would take a late model blazer 'back' to the realm of a K5 & thats an awsome thought for the extremists.
Just think of the uber plentyfull upgrades available for the dana 44 suspension set-up.

a danna 44 front axle setup would be a lot cheaper than 6k. I would guess more in the 2-3k range. There are no complete kits for this currently available though.

The only kit I am aware of is from Diversified Creations out of MI and only for ZR2's. 6" or 8" lift for use with either a Dana 30 or 44. The kit, axle not included, runs about $2100. It does have an option to keep the original hubs/rotors so you can keep ABS.

I have heard of another company, can't recall the name, that is working on a kit.

*wishes.... someone would upgrade their 6in superlift and send it my way... lol...

If this is around the cost of a super lift would it be much more beneficial street/offroad to do so or just more benefitting the offroad types?

I know of three people that already have the kit installed. I'm still debating if I REALLY need to do this or if I justify the want.

You can get a D44 front axle out of a Jeep cherokee from about any junk yard for 2-300 bucks and it will fit right in your blazer with a little fabbing for the coils and control arms.

And just so the haters know the XJ front end is the same as the tj front end and hopefully you all know a d30 tj axle swaps in our blazers.

For 2-3000 you might as well go with a Dynatrac SAS
