I've seen some people put the whip on the rear bumper. Not sure if they drill a hole in the bumper or what, but it looks decent! Check out a few build threads, I know someone has it back there.

I'm making a bracket that will bolt through the side of the rear hatch opening level with the top of the tailgate. Like this one, its getting a 4' Firestik on it.

I think that they look best when placed down low on the vehicle. The bumper is the ideal place for me.

I bolted mine through the rear quarter panel.. but that's just me

i drilled a hole in my rear bumper and bolted it up there. (hopefully mine is one of the ones that looks decent lol) i have a few pics of it in my build thread.

I like it when they are dualed on the roof pointed backwards at an angle - like and RC car. I had antennas like that on my 02 Aztek AWD and people always commented that it looked like a space craft cause the tips blinked red.
