I'm using a different style Center console than what came with the truck and they mount differently so I had to make a plate to mount it.

Bolts welded in

And all mounted. CB is just for looks right now, haven't ran power for it yet. I also still need an antenna cable.

Nice job..... cool place to put it nicely out of the way but easy to get to and clean looking as well.

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how it came out. This is about the absolute largest CB that can fit in that spot and still look good with the factory surround.

If you ever have issues like that again with the loss of power and stumble and everything like that but find that it isn't the o2 sensors like I did, it is going to be the fuel pump! My pump was fine until the truck warmed up then the pump would overheat and only put out a bit of fuel and I had the EXACT same symptoms as you! Checked both o2 sensors and they were in great condition, checked the fuel pump multiple times but never thought to after if had warmed up so I got lucky finding that out! But yes, hesitation, lack of power, after awhile it would die and upon restart I could only do about 25-30 mph and never above 2000 rpms, glad your fix was MUCH easier than mine!!

I've had it insured for a few weeks now, first tank of gas I got 15.4 MPG with it. I think that's not bad considering I have a heavy right foot.

I finally found an ok condition GMC hood for it. Picked it up last night and installed it today.

Chopped the frame in half of the parts truck yesterday, it's almost ready for the scrapper.

And don't worry, there were more support blocks under it while I was working, the pic was just after I took them out but before I lowered it back down.

Appreciate. Sucks cause this forum got blocked by work and I kinda forgot about it since I am hardly ever online otherwise. Now I can get on and my build thread is locked and I cant update it. Only been a few years...
