Update: Swapped in some 4" Skyjacker softride springs... The Ranchos settled too much. I also bought some 30" long, 12" travel Bilstein 5100's to replace the crappy gabriel shocks i have up front (they top out when flexing with the new springs)

This weekend I swapped leafs around in my bastard pack to control the axle wrap i was getting in the rear. I used some longer leafs out of 63" 1 ton pack i have.

Wow i really like that. I honestly think that's the best looking sas s10 Blazer i have seen because its super clean and lifted the perfect amount, I have been waiting to see one that isnt lifted super high. Looks about the same as the 6 inch super lift accept you have a SFA. Nice job!

Oh, I looked and couldnt find what tires you are running on there. they look like 33's?

It spent about a year researching and buying parts / rebuilding the axles before i even touched the truck ...It took two maybe three weekends of work to get it drivable. Ive been tinkering with it ever since (about 3 months now).

As far as money spent... A LOT lol. You could do it a lot cheaper than i did for sure, I rebuilt both axles... New shafts, bearings, seals.. the 8.8 needed spider gears, and I did a 1 piece axle conversion on the D30, along with new brakes all around, high steer setup, etc... and I bought a lot of new brand name parts along the way.

Long story short, my original budget was $2500

That being said, Ive seen guys piece a similar setup together with junkard / used stuff and a home made cross member / hangers for under 1k (keeping the stock rear axle)

But thats just not my style...I wanted to build this truck so it looks like it came from the factory this way, and wasn't built in a shed.

Thanks for the compliments, that means a lot!

Tires are actually only 265/75/r16 (about 32")... ive been contemplating running 285's or even 295's... only thing stopping me is i know ill have to cut the fenders so it doesn't rub when flexing.

Nice work on the swap! I think you nailed your goal of making it look like it came from the factory that way. On a side note thanks again for the front end parts I'm the guy that bought all those parts off you over on s10 forum.

I love them!! I tore up the idler arm already and had to replace it but no big deal that comes with having the bigger tires.

Ya, I built mine for 2K in my driveway. 1K in axles. Could have done a junk yard build for $500 If I really wanted to cheap out. lol. Truck looks good! Almost looks 100% stock. They way they should have came!

this is how they should have came from the factory. no clearance issues between front axle and oil pan for it being that low?

im digging it. if i ever do another sfa s10 this is how i want it, something i can actually drive on the street
