Does anyone have a video of how to replace the radiator support on a 2001 blazer?

Radiator Support Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the hood. Support the hood.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the grille.
4. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
5. Remove the front bumper impact bar.
6. Remove the headlamp assemblies.
7. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
8. Remove the steering linkage shield.

9. Disconnect the A/C evaporator line from the 2 brackets located at the bottom of the radiator support.
10. Disconnect the electrical connector to the SIR discriminating sensors.
11. Remove the SIR discriminating sensors from the radiator support (if replacing the radiator support).
12. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
13. Disconnect the power steering hoses to the power steering cooler.
14. Remove the power steering cooler from the radiator support (if replacing the radiator support).
15. Remove the hood release cable from the radiator support and the primary hood latch.
16. Remove the primary hood latch support.
17. Remove the air intake baffle.

18. Remove the forward lamp wiring harness from the radiator support.
19. Remove the upper fan shroud from the radiator support.
Tilt the radiator toward the engine.
20. Remove the headlamp ballast and support bracket.

21. Remove the ground screw terminals from the radiator support.

22. Remove the bolts that retain the air conditioning condenser to the radiator support.
23. Remove the bolts that retain the battery tray to the radiator support.
24. Remove the radiator air intake baffle.
25. Remove the hood support rod.

26. Remove the mega fuse cable and bracket.


27. Remove the bolts that retain the radiator support to the right and the left wheel house panel.
28. Remove the bolts that retain the left fender to the wheel house panel.

29. Remove the bolts that retain the radiator support to the frame.
30. Remove the bolts that retain the radiator support to the right and the left fender.
31. Remove the radiator support frame mounts.
32. Lightly push the left fender away from the vehicle in order to allow a clearance between the fender and the radiator support.
33. Slide the left side of the support away from the vehicle.
34. Remove the radiator support.

Installation Procedure

1. Lightly push the fender away from the vehicle in order to allow a clearance between the fender and the radiator support.
2. Install the radiator support into the frame.
Slide the right side of the support onto the frame. Pivot the left side of the support into place.
3. Install the radiator support frame mounts.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the bolts through the frame mount.

Tighten the radiator support frame mount bolts to 70 N.m (52 lb ft).

5. Install the bolts that retain the left wheel house panel to the fender.
6. Install the bolts that retain the radiator support to the right and the left fender.

7. Install the bolts that retain the radiator support to the right and the left wheel house panel.
8. Install the hood support rod.
9. Install the radiator air intake baffle to the vehicle.
10. Install the bolts that retain the battery tray to the radiator support bolts.
11. Install the mega fuse cable and bracket to the radiator support.
12. Install the air conditioning condenser, if equipped.
13. Install the fan shroud to the radiator support.

14. Install the forward lamp wiring harness to the radiator support.

15. Install the ground screw terminals to the radiator support.
16. Install the headlamp ballast and support bracket.
17. Install the primary hood latch support.
18. Install the power steering cooler to the radiator support (if removed).
19. Connect the power steering hoses to the power steering cooler.
20. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
21. Install the SIR discriminating sensors to the radiator support (if removed).
22. Connect the electrical connector to the SIR discriminating sensors.

23. Connect the A/C evaporator line to the 2 brackets located at the bottom of the radiator support.
24. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
25. Install the hood release cable to the radiator support and the primary hood latch.
26. Install the steering linkage shield.
27. Install the headlamp assemblies.
28. Install the bumper.
29. Install the air cleaner assembly.
30. Install the grille.
31. Install the battery.
32. Lower the hood.
33. Inspect the latch. Adjust if necessary.
