I have an 02 Blazer 2 wheel drive that i am putting a sbc 350 carb motor. i was going to use the 460 tranny but was told that i cant cause its an eloctronic tranny and im not using the fuel injection, mass air flow ETC... Is this true? Also i was told that for 650 dollars i can get a controler that will permit it to work. Also was told the gauges would not work

If you leave the ecm hooked up to just the transmission it should be ok. Hook your sensors up to the engine, I believe the sensors go to the ecm and then relay them to the gauges.

Now the only gauge you'll see problems with is the tachometer. Since you're carbed you're using a form of HEI or vacuum advance. You can check how the tach wires feed to the v6 disturbitor but I guarantee they won't be the same and even if they did, the tachometer wouldn't read the correct RPM. The best solution is an aftermarket tachometer you can mount on the dash and hook it up. Not stock looking but is the easiest.
