Default Seafoam Issues

I plan on seafoaming, but my father thinks that because I use the Lucas Fuel injector cleaner, that it won't do anything. He also thinks that because the car has 175k miles on it that under the carbon buildup that the parts might be damaged, and that the carbon just covers it up and keeps it working. (That last part might not have been what he said, I kinda drifted in and out while he was talking). I need your guys' opinions on this situation.

If you use the seafoam in the intake it will clean the intake and use it in the oil. Since you use lucus in the gas there is no need to put the seafoam in the tank

Also Try searching i have an old post about seafoam

I just used sea foam in my wifes 01 blazer with 135,000 miles. It didn't smoke as much as I expected but it made a huge difference in how the car ran. It runs much smoother now and seems like it doesn't have to work as hard to accelerate. My wife has comented several times on how much better it runs.

Seafoam is a cleaning additive, i cleans the whole motor, down the intake, in the gas, and in the oil. It blows all of the carbon build up out of the engine, thats why its so smokey while doing it. It can cause the plugs to go bad, that's why you have to change them after wards.

Youtube it there are alot of vids about it

Run it in the oil and in the gas. Not down the TB you could damage it. Also you could try Marvel Mystery Oil. I've used it for years and as with seafoam i've had good results.
