Default 01 Blazer randomly sputters

Ok so here is my first problem with my new "Island car". 2001 Chevy Blazer 4x4. When I first purchased the car I was aware that it randomly would shut off but then start right back up when you put it in N and cranked it back over AND I was aware of the check engine light on. What I really need help with is figuring out why my car is sputtering randomly and then why is it shutting itself off?

These are the codes/readings I'm getting;
P0101- Mass or Volume airflow A circuit range performance
107- manifold absolute pressure/barometric pressure circuit low
113- Intake air temp sensor 1 circuit high
171- system too lean bank 1
174- system too lean bank 2

My mechanic and I have replaced the fuel pump, IAT sensor, and ignition coil so far. His next idea is the distributor cap/roter, sound likely?

Just some extra info too, the car usually has a long crank time with the need to pump the gas pedal 2-3x to get it going. Seems to have a small oil leak somewhere or it's burning through oil rapidly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ok so we found a little bit of the problem, but it still didn't fix it. Replaced the MAF sensor and the special Chevy bolts on the battery were corroded so replaced those too.

However like I said it still "chugs" or "sputters" randomly like its not getting enough gas. I know these codes mean a lean condition, as too much air is getting in, but not sure where to start. Any help guys/girls? Do I need to start replacing O2 sensors too or is it a bigger problem? I'm pretty sure these are 2 unrelated problems (chugging and shutting off) because the car has completely shut off without the chugging.

I know you state you replaced the fuel pump, but did you do a fuel leakdown test after that? Fittings, lines, injectors can also leak. Also, all your secondary ignition parts (cap, rotor, wire, plugs) should be AC Delco. These trucks don't like other ignition parts.

If your IAT sensor circuit high is still there after replacing the sensor (and clearing the codes obviously), you need to take a look at that circuit and determine why. You could have an open in the sensor wires, a short to voltage, or other wiring problem or connector.
