03 Blazer Assumed Transmission Issues
I have been having nothing but troubles lately. As of now the blazer will start up mostly via a jump start. Once the beast is going it'll remain as such. The issue begins when driving. I was driving down my street picking up speed (30mph range, limit is 35). At that point the beast will, what feels like, shift to neutral and won't let you go faster than 30mph and obviously the RPM's shoot up as if in neutral as well. IF you let off the gas and punch it relatively quick it'll do the little delay and then it'll shift correctly allowing you to go 40-65. Anything more than 65 and the same issue occurs, it'll act as if it's in neutral.
Basically its known for transmission issues and the transmission is probably the only thing that's not new. I was thinking it's along the lines of a shift solenoid but I am not mechanical to say the least. Any thoughts?
Also, When i got back home I stopped and placed the vehicle in park. Immediately everything seemed to shutoff / die but the engine was still moving enough to kick everything back on. I assumed that was an alternator issue however the alternator is just fine. Did the testing today, so I also have a parasitic drain.
