1988 S10 Blazer Stalling
Hello all,
I'm posting for a friend here who just bought an '88 Blazer from a buddy for $500 (who bought it for $1000). It has a myriad of problems, but we have fixed it up enough to run from A to B. The biggest issue right now is that it stalls out after warming up (and the idle drops) and sometimes stalls while taking off from a stop. Vacuum test showed no major vacuum defecit, and we just did the timing (which is what got it running to begin with). There is a disconnect between the exhaust and the cat/muffler on the engine side, but was not sure how much of an effect that would have on idle. Haven't ran codes yet (I'll update when he does), but was hoping someone had a few pointers to get us going in the right direction. We aren't mechanics, but we wrench on cars quite a bit and learn as we go. Thank you for any help.
