Default 2002 4.3 2wd oil leak...

So during my oil change to day I noticed the mount where the filter screw's in at as well as the pan was covered in oil. I just replaced the oil cooler lines a few months ago! Any other ideas where it could be coming from? Cleaned the area as best I could but still can't really pin point it.

I would suggest that everyone stay away from any dorman products. The oil cooler lines i replaced last year were leaking from the press fit seals on the rubber portion! Only after a year of service! Replaced them with ACdelco ones so we'll see how this goes. Pretty silly to use oil cooler lines on a 2wd truck with no tow package

Not really. Anything that can be done to remove heat from the engine that is not needed only helps the life of the engine. All gasoline engines can benefit from oil coolers, it is that the lines they use could have been a better design and higher quality.
