Default 4x4 problems

96 2-door auto 4x4
While driving the 4x4 tries to engage on its own. I put it into 4hi then back to 2hi to reset it. That worked for a while, but now its everytime that I drive its going into 4 wheel so I have to engage it fully and now I have to drive everywhere in 4hi. The problem is on the passenger side and thats the only shaft that tries to engage on its own the driver side has no problems. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Default RE: 4x4 problems

i think that its a computer issue something is shorting out to the point that it wants to do that constantly i would have a dealership run a diagnostic on the computer and see if its that first before spending anything on replacing part after part
