5.7 vortec engine

Default 5.7 vortec engine

hey guys im 28 and im working on a 77 chevy blazer K5 and im looking at putting a 5.7L vortec engine into it but i do not no if it will work/fit can anyone tell me if it can or not or if any major things needs to be done before i find one to put in ??

and if u have a pic of a chevy blazer in charcoal grey can u post pics ? im looking at painting it that color but would like some input

From a dimensional standpoint, the Vortec 5.7L engine is the same as the older 350 (5.7L). If you plan on running a carb, you will need a Vortec specific intake manifold to be able to mount the existing or new carb to.

As far as your color choice, I posted in your other thread. One thread per topic is enough.

i think im going the fuel injected way once i find a rebuilt engine or find one to have rebuilt

also does anyone no if i need to upgrade my 77 blazer gas pedal to a electronic gas pedal ?

I wouldn't think so...I think electronic sensor pedal came in around the time the 5.3 were taking over.

thank u for the reply im just getting all the parts together for the build and do not want to wait for a part that i might of for gotten

What do you plan on using for your fuel injection?
