'92 Blazer s10 4.3 TBI rough/poor idle and stalls HELP!
Hi!
Greetings from Finland! Just registered because I've got issues with my newest "winter-purchase" and wouldn't love anything more than gettin it fixed
The "patient" specs:
1992 Blazer S10 4.3 TBI 4WD
Mileage: 185k
I've got the following problem with my Blazer:
Started a couple days ago stalling while waiting in traffic- lights (gear in D).
For a longer time already, every now and then has been rough in idle when firing up cold (engine shaking and idle wery rough). Altough most of the time staring up nicely and rpm idle level down when warming up.
Changed the sparkplugs, IAC- valve, motor oil+ filter yesterday. After work done fired up her and took her for a ride approx 60mph over 20 miles (should reset the IAC correctly?).
No change in bad idle behaviour.
Still starts up nice cold, warms up, oilpressure, temp all good. When it gets warm, not only waiting in traffic lights with gear in D, but also in N, slowly drops the idle rpm and starts "dying" and finally stalls. However, stalling a lot more faster when gear in D.
Starts right up emmediately after stalling and runs great in acceleration and any range of speed. No signs of lack of power or hesitating while accelerating. So the problem is happening only while standing still, in iddle or for ex slow maneuvers while parking in parking-lot.
If i give it just a bit of pressure on the gas-pedal while for ex standing in traffic- lights, no signs of stalling,"dying" or rough idle. But straight after releasing foot from gas- pedal, rpm dropps and engine stalls soon.
Hope someone can help me with this issue and get me back on the road for some nice drivin in my S10!
Thanks!!
Axl
