95 jimmy Slt suddenl idling over 3000 rpms ???.
For the last week or so I've been having issues with what I can only assume is part of the throttle body.
It all started with the engine dying due to lack of gas if I didn't rev the throttle while it warmed up. Also noticed that my rpm gauge would often read 1300-1500rpm during idle after I startup and wouldnt always drop once the engine warmed up (though sometimes it did)
Yesterday I put some sea-foam in with the gas drove it a couple of blocks then hoped back in an hour or so later and fired it up only to see my rpm gauge skyrocket above 3000 rpm and when I went to pop it in gear the entire vehicle shook and the car died.
I've ordered a new throttle position sensor and idle air control valve from ebay and was wondering what else could be the cause other than Vacuum lines as it;s my only vehicle and I need it running asap. (note) it has a 4.3 vortec engine with the 4l60e automatic transmission 4x4 version
