I have a 95 which does not make diagnostics easy. So far I have changed the TPS pigtail which helped a lot and fixed some shifting problems. That was followed by the front O2 sensor and exhaust donuts which has since improved engine vacuum affecting shift quality and it now fires off when I hit the ignition.
It still feels a little sluggish and smells rich most of the time. So at this point I'm leaning towards coolant or air temperature sensors being a little off. I'll do some searching so I can take readings on the sensors but it's hard to find the correct specs for most thermal sensors.
If anyone has other suggestions I'd like to hear them. I do have an air filter that needs installed. The cap/rotor and plugs were replaced about 2 years ago as well as intake manifold gaskets.

Follow-up:
As far as I can tell air and coolant were reading good. I ended up changing the spider injector and so far it's been better.
