Default 98 blazer 0 oil psi and knocking

ok, so im gonna start by saying i have a 98 blazer 4 door 4x4 with the 4.3 vortec, i was driving it a few days ago and it stalled, i got it started again and it stalled 10 miles down the road and it stalled again, so, i left it because i needed to get to work. my mom came and got the truck for me and drove it to where i work and told me that the truck was knocking and had no oil pressure. so i went out and started it, and it is knocking and has no oil pressure at all. it doesn't matter at idle or 5k it has ZERO pressure.

so, my question is, should i rebuild or replace? it has been overheated probily 4 times (4th time it blew the head gaskets & they were replace) it has 199,600 miles on it. to rebuild it is about 500$ and a replacement engine is about 700$ ill do the work my self, so im not worried about labor. i just need your guys's help.

$700 for a rebuilt, and $500 for the parts to do it yourself. I would replace it if the $700 engine has a decent warranty. the way I see it if something goes wrong with one you rebuilt yourself you are stuck, even if it is due to defective parts. but if you buy one with a warranty you are good to go.

well, I've rebuilt a lot of engines, and never had one come back to me because of a screw up, the only replacement engine (junkyard engine) around me hasn't been tested, they only will replace it with a higher millage engine. (i want one as close to the millage on the truck as i can get) i would rather rebuild it, but it takes up a lot of time to rebuild it. but i will have the original engine in the truck, which will make me feel better about the truck. but its been overheated 5 different times and ran low on oil a few times (not starved, just low)

i just don't know about the rebuild and replace... i might just put a junkyard engine in it till i rebuild the original engine and get time to re-install it in the truck.

I thought you found a rebuilt for 700, if its from a junkyard for 700, I would do the rebuild.
