Default 98 zr2 blazer rear main

Well my tranny blew out and I have a bad oil leak. I know for a fact that the oil is comin from my rear main. My question here is do I really have to lift the motor and drop the pan or can I do it just by leavin it. I've read a couple things and some say that there is 2 seals in it. A outer and a inner. Is this true? If so I'm pretty sure I have the outer. I need help. It's aggervated the hell out of me

For starters there is a 'front' main and a 'rear' main seal....now dropping the pan and lifting the motor, I can only assume u are referring to replacing the timing cover gasket, or the oil pan gasket........ u. Should have no problem getting to and replacing the rear main seal once u pull the trans and remove your flywheel......
