Default another surging...bad mpg thread...

Okay guys, I'm new here but not new to blazers, this is my third one..had a 04 4dr 4x4, a 99 4dr 2wd, and anow I have a 2000 bravada... Torsion bar crank, lift shackles, 235/75 nexen m/t's on 2wd swirl rims..

Anyway... I've been fighting bad mpg for awhile...turns out my brakes were dragging...thought is I replaced the pads(they needed it) and lubed and cleaned it all it'd work itself out...wrong.. I replaced one caliper and its good now...now need to do the other rear one...front maybe dragging a little..

Now I've been noticing when. Accelerating/cruising I have a surge...like the brakes dragging and letting up...loss of power, then it comes back. Not like a shake/miss...like a drag how the fans do when they kick on in town.. I know the vacuum hoses are junk..went thru that with my 99 and replaced all the small vacuums lines...cat was falling apart so I got that cut that out... Idles good. No problems there...

Thanks for reading my novel, anyone have ideas?? My mpg stays around 11-12 mpg...sometime the instant will read 14 on flat highway around 60mph...other times 18-19... Bout to throw this thing off a cliff....
